Woo~Hoo!! It's Summer Time!!

I'm finally off of work for Summer Break!!

Now let the fun begin!!

Watermelon is one our favorite summer time treats!!

I love the color & the natural sweet & juicy taste!!

I guess you could call it one of God's candies!

I decided to go ahead & cut some of the melon up into single servings & put it in bags for the boys!!

Teenage boys tend to make really big messes!!

I hope my creative juices start flowing again!!

I have been riding the dragon~wagon in a big way lately.

Only one more day of work until summer break!!!!

My garden shoes are ready & waiting for me!!
I'm not sure what these little flowers are called, but they are so dainty & sweet with the lavendar pedals & tiny yellow centers!!

Granny's Rocker

This old rocker belonged to my grandma Minnie Murray.

My dad gave it to me a little while back.

It's going to be one of my summer "painting projects"!!

I think I'm going to give it a whimsical touch!!

I only have 4 more days until my summer break!!

I'm now the proud mom of a high school graduate!!

It doesn't seem like that long ago John & I were graduating!!

This is a pic after graduation of my "sweet hubby", his mom Jan & Nate!

We had a graduation celebration for Nathan in our backyard!!
We had a baked potato bar with all of the fix'ns, veggies, fruit, spinaich dip, & plenty of sweets!!
I put this shrine of stuff together!!

Nathan has never worn his class ring or the nice watch he got from the

basketball booster club!!

So, I decided to at least put it on display for a day!!

We all finally made it to the end of the school year!!

I am looking forward to having a little more time to visit some of my favorite blogs!!

I've decide that eggs & nests are going to be one of my "new" favorite things to collect!! There is something so simple & sweet about a bird nest!!

When Life Gives You Mud.....Make a Mud Pie!

When I got home form work today he asked me if I had been watering in the front yard? I told him no.....

Long story short... We have a pretty serious leak coming from the house water line to the water main. We were hoping that it was a leak in the sprinkler system....no such luck:(
The chocolate looking water just kept filling up the hole.
I know that there are so many people right now that are dealing with much worse situations. I'm praying that God can help us make a

"Mud Pie" out of this muddy mess!!

Spring has Sprung!!

Gotta love this Spring weather!!

The birds are happy!!

My flowers are very happy!!

I got a great deal on some plants a few weeks ago.

It is always surprising how much stuff it takes to fill up all of those pots & other containers!!

It's been awhile since I've posted. Most of my at home time has been working in the yard!!

There is just something about getting your hands in the dirt!!

It's murder on a manicure, but worth it!!

Help!! The Laundry Monster is after Me!!!

This is how I feel about laundry!!

I'd rather scrub the tub!!

Wash the windows!!

Give the dogs a bath!!

It seems like I never get caught up!!

Rain Rain Go Away!!

I sure hope that old saying is true about April showers bringing May flowers.

It has been cold & rainy all afternoon & evening.

It feels more like October than April!!

I'm ready for some much needed sunshine!!

I had the privilage of going to Canton, Texas with 2 of my favorite gal~pals!!

1) We each have boys.

2) All 3 of us have a son that's a senior.

3) Our sons are going to the same college next year.

4) We love to shop!

5) We have similar taste in decorating!

6) We enjoy a good decorating magazine!

7) We can't wait to set out flowers in the spring!

8) We share the same faith.

9) We all have great hubby's that let us go shopping! Thanks guys!!

The only thing we were a bit short on was time & money!!

Just a random post!!

Do you ever wonder what makes some people content with what life gives them??

I know people that don't need a bunch of extra fluff to be happy!!

I really admire that!!

These pictures have nothing to do with this post!! I just don't like posting without any photos!! So, this is what you get! A few more shots of our hall bathroom redo!!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a puppy with a wiggle butt to stop peeing when he gets excited??

Sir Freckels will be 5 months old on March 30th. He is doing better with the potty training except when someone comes to the front door.

This is what happens....The doorbell rings, all 3 dogs start barking & run to the front door to see who has come over to play! Freckels gets so excited that he starts wiggling like crazy! Looking at him you might think that his butt is going to wiggle right off.

That is when it happens.... the pee wiggles right out of him every single time!!

Out comes the disinfectant spray & mop for the ump~teenth time.

Cleaning up wiggle butt pee is getting really old!!

I'm open to any & all suggestions!!
