When we bought this chair several years ago.......I liked the cream floral print fabric. The over abundance of cats we've had over the years thought the arms made great scratching posts:( We finally had it recovered over Christmas break. I'm pretty sure we could have bought a new piece of furniture for less money! But.......I love my double chair!!

Nathan (my oldest has been gone for over 2 months & Collin has been gone a week. I've really missed them both. Thank you Luncheon!!

You know how God sends people into our lives at just the right time?....

Well for the past couple of years he has done that for me at my job!

My job as a middle school registrar is very rewarding....not financially!:(
but....I get to be the first person to meet & greet most of the new families that come to enroll at our school. Sometimes the new kid's might not be thrilled about the family move or are a bit scared about making new friends, etc.....

Some of my many other duties include at least 10,000 pieces of paper for well over 900 students & their families.

That is a job that is way to BIG for one person!

Like so many other things that go on.....most of us don't have a clue about all the behind the scenes stuff that happens before we can buy those clothes that are hung or folded so neatly on the rack, or pick the food we want off of the grocery store shelf!!

I have a new appreciation for all the stuff that gets done ahead of time that most people don't even think about!

Anyway.....This is were special people that soon become my special friends come into play!!

My friends that come & help me at work are like little angels......

So, a couple of years ago we started having a volunteer luncheon to help say Thank You for all that they do to help us out during the school year!!

A Little Girly Tree!!

I've always been a bit of a "girly girl"...so that being said

the thing that I missed most about not having girls was all the pretty pink girly stuff that I could have gotten over the years instead of all the boyish colors!!

Well... I decided to foofy me up a "Girly Christmas Tree" to put on my counter at work!!

I chose a pretty lime green & pink theme!!
Hobby Lobby has some of the cutiest little decorations & the most amazing selection of ribbon.

I got this little tree for half price...a mere $4.00.
The ornaments & ribbon were also on sale!!

I used colored paper clips to hang the little balls...& dabbed a little glue on the tree tips & sprinkeled a little silver glitter to make it shine!!

Easy Noodle Casserole

We love noodles at our house!!

Every yummy "carb" packed bite!!

If you are a noodle girl you gotta try these!!

Saute' a few sticks of celery & an onion in a little butter!

Simmer pre-cooked chicken...veggies...& whatever creamy soup you have on hand....chicken..celery..mushroom..etc.

Add a little salt...pepper...dash of garlic...or whatever other seasoning

floats your boat!!

It tastes better than it looks!!

Well....my college boy started class today!!

I'm missing him something awful....I won't be wearing any mascara for a few days....cause I just seem to keep crying it off!!

I've decided (with the advice of my sweet hubby) that I'm gonna need to keep busy doing more projects!!

I'm thinking that he's thinking projects will be cheaper than therapy!!

I've had this big Ball jar for several years.

I used to keep it at work with candy in it....but it took up to much space!!

I decided to make a candle thingy out of it!!

I found these neat glass drops....they kinda look like marbles....bought a candle....put it all together & this is what I got!!

I guess you could say that this is one of my "therapy projects"!!

College Move In Day!!

You know....from the time our children are little we strive to help them become responsible & independent people!

Well....this day has come way to soon for me!!

I feel like I still need more time....but the day has come for me to turn loose a little more than I really want to & send my first born to college!!

It was hard trying to decide how much stuff to take!!
I snuck into Nate's room this morning & took a picture of him sleeping...just like I did on his first day of Kindergarten!

We left bright & early so we would get a good parking spot!!

I'm grateful for cell phones.....It will be my life line to him!!

Collin was a good sport....he helped carry Nates stuff upstairs to his room!!

Of course Nathan thought I packed way too much stuff!!

I took some pictures to show how nice his room is....Not!!

It's funny how he doesn't even seem to notice how nasty the floor is....icky the paint is....crooked the mini blind is....etc!!
What matters to him is that he has good friends to share this new & exciting time in his life!!!
After we got him all unpacked....we headed over to the Student Union to get a few last minute things!!
Nate had to humor me one last time!!

This is an exciting, but scarey & sad time for us!!

We went to White Water yesterday.....Oh my...my!!!

When the boys were little we had Zoo passes...White Water passes...etc...Now it is no small miracle to get all four of us at the same place at the same time!!

Anyway, we met some family there to help celebrate one of our nieces 16th B-day!!

As I was floating down the Lazy River, while the rest of the family was waiting in long hot lines...I started reflecting on the many interesting sights & sounds around me!!

Sorry if I offend anyone !!

There is the "Pre~Madonna Momma" with the perfect hair...tan & figure(including boob job)!!

Then you've got the way to "big" for his swim trunks middle aged man with the tatoo from Hades that would scare some adults not to mention most small children!!

There are the "horny teenagers"...that are stuck in a lip~lock fixing to do who knows what!!

Then you've got the lady that is still wearing her bikini from the '80's...but it's just a tad to small to keep all of her...so called

"baby fat" tucked in!!

Then there are all of those precious children that are just having "fun in the sun"....witch would be just fine if they wouldn't splash me in the face and scream in my ears as they swim by...almost knocking me off of my floatation device !!

I saw more blubber, cleavage, tatoos, & assorted piercings than I ever care to see again in my lifetime!!

Just one more thing!!

You pay to get in... (witch is way too much$$)

They charge you $5.00 to park...$5.00 to check in your cooler ...& $8.00 to rent a water tube.

I guess time spent with family is supposed to be priceless!...Right?

Ok...I feel much better getting that out of my system!!!

When we were on vacation I found a really cute platter with red poka dots!! The only problem was it cost way too much $$.

When we got back from vacation; my MIL & I went to a ceramic store & I painted a bowl & a platter for less than it would've cost to buy just the platter !!

Pretty cute stuff!!

I bought over ten pounds of M&M's to put in my apothacary jar!!

Super Simple Supper

My boys love this easy stir fry supper!

All it takes is a little time chopping up the ingrediants!!

Chop up onion, carrots, broccoli & bell peppers.
Microwave veggies in a bowl with a little butter until tender.

Cut either pork or chicken into bite sized pieces....stir in packet of dry stir fry mix....cook meat in a skillet with a little olive oil.
Add veggies...meat...can of baby corn...pineapple chunks...water chestnuts...sweet & sour sauce.

Serve over a bed of rice...add some Chow Mein noodles & Soy Sauce on top!!

3. Take care of general hygiene care!

There is something so gratifying about marking stuff off of a list!

My favorite kind of list is a "Honey Do List" for my sweet hubby!!

Growing up my mom always said we should eat our fruits & veggies!!

I believe that friut is God's way of giving us healthy candy!

I buy lots of fruit....Sometimes I tend to buy more than we can eat while it is still crisp & fresh....when this happens....I cut up the fruit....add some Fruit Fresh & Splenda...a can of pineapple chunks & it's juice!!

What you get is a big bowl of yummy "Fruit Salad"!

I bought this double Adirondack chair at a "Garden Party Sale" last summer.

It had chiped white paint on it.

I painted it red, but didn't sand or prime it like I should have.

Anyway, after a year in the weather it looked bad....not as bad as it does in the picture. My "sweet hubby" used the power washer on it.

I sanded it, primed it & repainted it.

Project completed!!

He still does that "wiggle~butt" pee thing when people come to the door.

We have started letting him go on outside to greet our guests.

She is never very far from my side!!

I've been going to the Ozarks on vacation since I was a little girl.
I'm still amazed at It's natural beauty.
There seems to be rain almost everyday!!
That makes the flowers very happy!!

We had just hiked up this beautiful path & went inside one of the lodges. I think that "big" animal is really holding them up while they catch their breath!!

This is just one of the "beautiful" water falls at Big Cedar.

Everywhere you look there are amazing plants. It made me want to go home & re-do all of my plant containers!!

We enjoyed many "F's" yesterday!!

I planned to get out my patriotic decorations, but always wait until the last minute....When I went up to the attic to get them.... Good 'ol Uncle Sam was all I found!!

We have all kinds of wooden stars, flags, firecrackers.... from our

"Home Grown Country Collectable"days!!

Better luck next year!!

We enjoyed some yummy Food on the Fourth with a few of our Fantastic Friends!!

Then we went to watch some Fabulous Fireworks!!

My "sweet hubby" grilled the burgers about an hour before our guests came over......We decided to try a trick we learned in the baseball concession stand. Mix warm water with some beef bullion, garlic salt, onion flakes & a little Soy sauce....put your hot off the grill hamburger patties in the crockpot.....pour mixture over the patties....when it's time to eat..... you have hot juicey meat ready to eat!!

I'd rather scrub the tub or clean the toilet than do laundry!

I tend to put it off until I can't walk into my closet.

Most of my clothes are cold wash, gentle cycle & hang to dry......

Way to many steps for me!!

Not to mention that I have to fold, hang & put them away!!

My other bad habit is running a load & getting busy with another project......

Most of the time it has to be washed again:(

When I do get into the laundry groove I fold & make these nice neat stacks of clothes for my boys only to have them dump them into a big pile on their bedroom floor......I try not to go upstairs to their rooms very often.

I just get my panties into a twist when I do!!

I would much rather be having Fun in The Sun!!

This is a picture of my hubby working in our front yard!!:(

So much for a relaxing weekend:(

When I got home form work today he asked me if I had been watering in the front yard? I told him no.....

Long story short... We have a pretty serious leak coming from the house water line to the water main. We were hoping that it was a leak in the sprinkler system....no such luck:(
The chocolate looking water just kept filling up the hole.
I know that there are so many people right now that are dealing with much worse situations. I'm praying that God can help us make a

"Mud Pie" out of this muddy mess!!

I got a great deal on some plants a few weeks ago.

It is always surprising how much stuff it takes to fill up all of those pots & other containers!!

It's been awhile since I've posted. Most of my at home time has been working in the yard!!

There is just something about getting your hands in the dirt!!

It's murder on a manicure, but worth it!!

I had the privilage of going to Canton, Texas with 2 of my favorite gal~pals!!

7) We can't wait to set out flowers in the spring!

Do you ever wonder what makes some people content with what life gives them??

I know people that don't need a bunch of extra fluff to be happy!!

I really admire that!!

These pictures have nothing to do with this post!! I just don't like posting without any photos!! So, this is what you get! A few more shots of our hall bathroom redo!!

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a puppy with a wiggle butt to stop peeing when he gets excited??

Sir Freckels will be 5 months old on March 30th. He is doing better with the potty training except when someone comes to the front door.

This is what happens....The doorbell rings, all 3 dogs start barking & run to the front door to see who has come over to play! Freckels gets so excited that he starts wiggling like crazy! Looking at him you might think that his butt is going to wiggle right off.

That is when it happens.... the pee wiggles right out of him every single time!!

Out comes the disinfectant spray & mop for the ump~teenth time.

Cleaning up wiggle butt pee is getting really old!!

I'm open to any & all suggestions!!

Well, any excuse to celebrate works for me!!

When my boys were little I decorated for every holiday. Big or little, I was ready to spread some holiday cheer!! I just had to picked up some green stuff!! The only green the boys care anything about is the kind that is made out of paper, has a picture of a president, & has numbers on it!! I miss the days when they got excited about bubbles, silly putty, & sidewalk chalk!!

We found this textured paper that you put right on top of the old wallpaper.

Why do home improvment projects sound so simple until you get into the big middle of it!! Once you get started there is no turnig back!!

When I got home from work today, there were yellow feathers on the floor in the livingroom. The above 3 animals ( I am not calling them pets at the moment, I just need a little time.) were acting very guilty. One quick check of my bird cage confirmed my worst fear.......I am greiving the loss of one of my sweet canaries.....

We had freezing rain on & off for a few days!!

Those spots are rain drops!!The boys thought the best part was not having school for 2 days!!

We lost power a few times, but luckily it came back on.

There are still a lot of homes in our town that are still in the dark.

Not only have I been on ~"holiday overload"~ but our electrical circuits were overloaded too!!

The other evening we were feeling pretty festive with all of our Christmas lights glowing inside & out.

My "sweet hubby" was on the lap top, when it went black!!!

We lost wireless internet connection for a few days.
